Tony Riordan

I’m married to Lesley, we have two sons, Paul and David who attended The Glebe School, and we have three grandchildren who we spoil terribly. Perks of being a granddad.

I left school at 16 to pursue my boyhood dream of joining the Royal Navy as a Marine Engineer.I loved travelling the world, seeing the sights I’d read about as a boy, the great pyramids, the Arctic circle, the Northern Lights, and the wild animals of Africa, to mention a few.

After leaving the Royal Navy I became a Police Officer, initially working in Leeds before returning to Cleveland.

I thoroughly enjoyed both my careers, helping people as best as I could. I’m now officially retired, but can’t get enough of helping people, so I’m now a local councillor.

I enjoy offshore yacht racing, horse racing and playing many different musical instruments, terribly.
