John Ager

I’m a Salvation Army Officer (Minister of Religion) with over 40 years’ experience running Christian worship and community centres in both England and Wales. I married Naomi in 2014. We moved to Norton in July 2020 on my retirement, although I continue to live out my vocation. We have three young children who all attend Glebe Primary School.

Over the years I’ve developed a whole range of skills that are transferable to other situations. One of the ways I’ve chosen to serve the local community in my retirement is as a school governor. I’m approachable, friendly, and non-judgmental; people tell me I’m a good listener. I value inclusion, equality, truth, integrity, and dialogue with those of all faiths and none, whilst recognising that I’m not perfect.
