Welcome to The Glebe Primary School
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and read about our school and the education we have to offer your child.
At The Glebe Primary School we are proud of the sense of belonging and security that children feel when they are part of our community. We believe that children can reach their potential to grow socially, morally and educationally in a warm, lively and caring atmosphere and for that purpose we provide a curriculum that is rich in creative opportunities.
Mutual respect is a key theme in our school, community and beyond. We consider our rights and responsibilities in order to fully understand how to become responsible citizens of the future. We are extremely proud of our Gold award for Rights Respecting schools and this forms a major part of the ethos of the school.
British values is at the heart of our school policies and global learning adds to the children’s understanding of their place in the world. Pupil voice is very important to us and we encourage all children to be active citizens within school as well as locally and globally.
We view education as a partnership between home and school. By working together we aim to provide the learning opportunities and experiences which develop the children’s talents. We provide an atmosphere which fosters tolerance and expects high standards of perseverance and determination. Our dedicated team of teaching and non-teaching staff is fully committed to providing the best education possible for our children.
Please view our prospectus which has important information about our school. Please take time to note the details about the organisation of the school day. This website is designed to keep you informed about the school.
We have an open-door policy. All staff members pride themselves on being welcoming and approachable so please do not hesitate to ask questions and to give us feedback. We rely on feedback to improve the effectiveness of our work together.
I look forward to working in partnership with you.
