Bella’s Mum has Type 1 Diabetes. Earlier in the week, the extreme heat caused Mum’s blood glucose to drop to dangerously low levels and become unconscious. Bella’s quick- thinking and calm manner led het to call the practice nurse, as well has her Dad and Granny, whilst all the time watching her disabled sister play in the garden. When the paramedics arrives, they were impressed to see that Bella has also put her Mum in the Recover Position. The paramedics, and her family were so impressed with Bella’s actions and so are we! We are so pleased to head Bella’s Mum is now recovering well. Well Done, Bella!
