The Glebe Primary School is a Global Learning Expert Centre
The Glebe Primary School has two Expert Centre Co-ordinators, Mrs Thompson and Mrs Lewis. Every half term they deliver free training, guidance and resources to a network of like-minded schools; who are committed to equipping their students to make a positive contribution to a globalised world.
GLP Expert Centres are schools with a strong interest in global learning, experience of delivering it and a desire to become a local centre of best practice. As well as exemplifying global learning in their own school, their main role is to be the hub for a network of schools to provide leadership, support and development to help schools engage with global learning.
Through this programme, network schools can also access funding to enhance teachers expertise in this area. The aims of the programme are to make a positive impact on pupils’ engagement, knowledge, skills and values toward the world. This supports learning throughout the curriculum and including SMSC and British values.
